• 1st Prize for Vocal solo and Best promising Talent in Bosco Raag, interschool fest organized by Don Bosco School – Kolkata (1997)
• 1st Prize in Swar Prabhat Talent Contest organized by Salt lake Cultural Association (1999)
• 1st Prize in Talent Search by The Dover Lane Music Conference.
• Awarded Ustad Amir Khan Award for The best Vocalist and The Best Youngest Talent by
  Newspaper Pratidin, in the same competition (1999).
• Awarded National scholarship for senior students of Hindustani Classical music by Department of Art and Culture, Govt. of India. (2002)
• 1st Prize and awarded Title Surmani in the famous Kal-Ke-Kalakar music competition organized by Sur Singar Sansad of Mumbai (2004).
• Empanelled as an artist of the ICCR in both Hindustani Vocal (
Khayal) and Rabindra Sangeet (Songs of Rabindranath Tagore).
• Winner and only recipient of 2006
Gyana Pravaha scholarship for young and promising artists for Khayal.

• Performed at Belmont University, New Mexico State University, Dallas (Antorik), Detroit (Bichitra), New
  Jersey
(Kallol) and others during US tour 2008.

Conceived and performed at “How Do I Love Thee”, a special show for Valentine’s Day, Featuring
  Parambrata Chatterjee, Debleena Dutta, Raja, Shreya Guhathakurta and Sounak. The show was
  directed by Sankarlal Bhattacharjee. February 2009.
• Performed at Bongo Sankriti Utsav, organised by the Presidency College Alumnii Association – Mumbai.
  February 2009.

• Performed at a solo Classical music concert arranged by Udayan and Bade Ghulam Ali Khan Yadgaar
  Sabha at the National Gallery of Modern Art – Mumbai 2009.
• Performed at the NABC (Bongo Sanskriti Sammelan) in San Francisco in July 2009. 
• Solo presentation on Ragas and Tagore in Dallas July 2009.
• Directed and performed at Rabindra Utsav 2009, a national festival of theatre, dance and music.
  Presented a premier show on the concept of Robindro Raga; that is presenting Khayal in Ragas as they
  were conceived by Tagore.
 
• Conceived and performed in special Peace concert – ‘A Shanti’ (a contemporized presentation on works
  of Tagore and others) on 26th November 2009, with Dhritiman Chaterji, Raima Sen and Pramita Mallick.
  The concert was organized to commemorate the 1st Anniversary of the Mumbai Terrorist Attacks on
  6/11/2008. The concert was organized by ALSOC on the St. Xavier’s school grounds, Kolkata.
 
• Performed and directed show ALLITERATIONS (a concept fusing English poetry and Tagore’s
  compositions) for the Tagore Society – Singapore, with Pramita Mallick and actor Barun Chanda.
 
• Solo recital at ICCR Kolkata at a concert titled ‘Tomari Ragini’. Sounak presented the Raga
 -Rabindrasangeet interactions in a solo presentation with his own Rabindra Raga compositions,
  traditional classical bandishes and Rabindrasangeet.
• Performed classical music at Uttarpara Sangeet Sammelan – January 2010, sharing stage with the likes
  of Ust. Rashid Khan, and Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia.
• Presented Raga Rhapsodies with Smarajit Sen (sitar) at Netaji Bhavan, Kolkata. The concert was a
  fusion between Indian Classical Ragas and Western Symphonies.

•
Presented and performed in SPRINGS OF LOVE, Sounak’s second Valentine’s Day special at
  Kalamandir, Kolkata. This time, the theme was Indian classical music and dance. Co-artists were
  Purbayan Chatterjee, Jaya Seal Ghosh, Subhajyoti Guha, Anubrata Chatterjee, Rupashree Bhattacharya
  and Smt. Veena Kichlu.

 

The above mentioned performances are just some of the major music concerts; Sounak regularly presents Classical Music and Rabindrasangeet exclusively on numerous occasions in Kolkata and outside India as well.
